Trick or Treat

Ready to go!  We had to get going early, because the rain was coming in.  It was a little drizzly, but we finished all our stops before the bottom fell out.

Our neighbors are always our first house.  They are such sweet people and always have a special treat set aside for the quads.

 Marshall, Jim and Arabella came with us.  The boys were so kind to pull the wagons.  The children will definitely be going by foot next year.  They have gotten HEAVY!  This is right before one of the back wheels cracked and we had to ditch one of the wagons.

 We went by the house of our favorite babysitter, Molly.  She lives right down the street.  Broox was just barely tolerating pictures at this point.

It was another great Halloween.  This holiday is all about children, and I've never enjoyed it more than I do now that I have my own.  When I tucked Broox in that night, he asked me, "When will it be Halloween again?"

To the Rescue!

 This year, the quads were super heroes for Halloween.  This picture was taken at 6:15 a.m. before we left for preschool on Halloween morning, so it was still dark.  They were raring to go and loved taking on their super hero personas.  Unfortunately, the flash was really bothering them, so I didn't get a great one of the whole crew at once.  I had to post these action shots.  They make me smile each time I look at them.

4th of July

We spent 4th of July week on Folly Beach with Gray's family.  We had some rainy weather early in the week, but it cleared up at the end.  The Quads loved the beach this year and spent most of their time digging moats and jumping waves.   We were able to see some of the sights in Charleston, including the South Carolina Aquarium and the North Charleston Fire Museum.  We all had a nice time and the children got some quality time with their adorable cousins, Liles and Joe.  These are some pictures we took on the 4th of July before dinner.

The children had a really good time collecting shells on the beach.  They wanted to make sure and get some to take back to their preschool teachers.

Dance Recital

On Thursday, the girls performed in their very first dance recital.  The name of the ballet was "Tutti Frutti" and the girls' class represented Dreamsicles.  Jane and Virginia had the best time dressing up and getting to wear a little makeup.  They did so well and remembered almost all of their moves!  Lizzie, Honey and Pal all came up for the big event and we had a great time.  Here are just a few pictures we took in the backyard before the performance.

This was the best Easter egg hunt yet.  The children were overjoyed to see that the Easter bunny really left eggs,  and each egg found was just as exciting as the first!

Searching for the last of the eggs in Honey and Pal's front yard.  We had to strip the girls down to their slips, because they kept stepping on them.  Honey had to take them inside and re-wash and iron them before church.  Getting everyone showered and clothed (re-clothed) along with Easter baskets and an egg hunt before church was quite a feat.  So glad we were in Brewton with extra hands!  :)

The boys left for early church with Daddy and Lizzie.  The girls stayed with me, while I finished getting ready for a later service.  While they waited for their mama and clean dresses we got some cute shots of the sisters.

Jane flopped down on the bed and posed for a few pics.  I hate that this one turned out a little blurry.
